2009 Franklin Regional Wrestling Duals
Franklin Regional will be hosting their 2009 Wrestling
Duals on Dec. 12th 2009. We are looking to get either 12
or 8 teams.
All teams will be guaranteed 5 matches. If we end up with
8 teams there will be 2 pools of 4 all teams wrestling each
other and
then cross bracketing the 2 top teams and the 2 bottom teams
in each pool.
If we have 12 teams we will do something similar only with
3 pools. The tournament will be worth 3 competition points.
So our field for 2009 looks like this Franklin Regional,
Waynesburg, Blackhawk, Jefferson Morgan, Perry Academy and
Knock.
The day will be a positive experience for all wrestlers.
Depending on the number of teams we will run 3 or 4 mats
in one gym
(no switching gymnasiums) and an extra mat all day specifically
for JV matches.
Full kitchen open from breakfast through the last match.

one more team to round out the field for its varsity dual
tournament
being held on Saturday January 9, 2010. Committed teams are
Kittanning, Forest Hills, Clarion, Blairsville and Sharon.

Howland High school is looking for teams
to compete
in the 2010 Howland Invitational Wrestling Tournament.
The tournament is an eight-man 1 (one)-day event that is run
as a double elimination tournament.
The 2010 Invitational will be the 49th consecutive. The exact
date of the 2010 Howland Invitational is January 16th, 2010.
The tournament preliminaries start at 10:00 am. Finals start
at 6:00 pm for the first and second place bout and the
third and fourth place match. We award the top four placers
in each weight class as well as issue trophies for the
tournament team champion, team runner-up, most pins in the
least amount of time and tournament M.V.P.
